Could use help with ID of cargo cover
Just received my new Cargo Cover from dealer and it seems to be the wrong part. They shipped "LR PT no 500534 L319 ABR 7-seater".
I thought it should clip into the slides just behind the second row seats and pull back (with 3rd row seats stowed) to just in front of the back door and hook on each side.
The cover that they sent seems to be about 4+ inches too narrow to fit into the slides.
Is this the wrong part or is there a trick to the installation? I hope this works because it is a 3week process for the nearest dealer to order parts and ship them to me.
Thanks, Ken

RE: Could use help with ID of cargo cover
I tried that too but 2 different dealers' parts managers gave me different numbers and a 3rd one said there isn't a "load space cover that will go in an '04 Disco SE7".... This even though the Nashville, TN dealer has a used '04 on the lot with the cover in place. If I want one at no charge like the original window sticker says the Rover came with, I've been told that it must come through the original dealer. I bought this from the original owner and he says it never had a cover and since he had several small children who loved the 3rd row seats, he never thought about it or wanted it. I did finally learn that the right part number might be ERK 500130 SUC (for beige) instead of ERK 500534 (the one that I have). For other cars that I have, I either have a CD/DVD with part numbers, repair procedures and exploded diagrams or can go to a web site and look up correct part numebrs. Just seems odd to me that Rover doesn't have such info available. Thanks, Ken
