1. Check you vacuum lines, fuses and the voltage at the back of the switch. It might not be getting power, or the light just may be burned out.
2. Has the remote ever worked? THey have to be programmed at the dealer, or someone with testbook.
3. Bulb
4. No idea
5. It is a BMW tool. You can get one at the dealer, or use a small flathead jewler's screwdrive to loosen the screws. If you are replacing the radio, you have to get adapters.
6. Start by checking the fuel pressure.

Wtf? Your motor is probably not mad at you nor is it likely bad. If it isn't starting right up then check the three things required for ignition: air, fuel, and spark. How old is your battery? Have you checked its voltage output? Still running old spark plugs, wires, air filter?

1.the gear selecter has a light bulb i can replace
2.the remote has to go to the dealer (it use to work i changed the batterys 2 times) thinking i got a bad battery
3.and there is small screws in the little holes in the front of the radio you must remove to get the radio out and do you know where i can get an adapter for the radio best buy told me they dont make them
4.pressure a little low thinking i will try a new filtter its been awhile

new bosch plat plugs 2 months ago along with wires battery is a couple years old but seems to crank good and fast air cleaner 3 or 4 weeks old it always starts just some times harder then others[:-]
