Definitely this OP. Both times I’ve dropped by a welder to fix this, I’ve had the Y pipe off and in the back of the Tacoma and they’ve just real quick laid a bead. One time was free, another was like $50, and both were done within an hour.

Same here. Had it happen to the original Y pipe a few years ago - flange fully separated from the pipe. I took it off and brought it to a local muffler shop - $20 to weld it back together. Held fine for many years until I replaced the Y pipe (cats) last year.
