Default Cracked SAI Lev Pipe - check this out…

Figured I’d share my experience today. Been fighting a P0177 code and then an exhaust leak noise.

Did everything I could to locate the leak with a smoke tester, leaf blower up the tailpipe and spraying water, etc.

Today I took it to my local Rover guru Reid at the Auto Shop in Birmingham, AL. Within a few minutes he found a crack in the bottom of the SAI lev pipe on the drivers side head.

Someone dumped a D2, keys and all, outside their shop a few years ago. He now uses it for parts so he threw on one of its SAI pipes and we’re good to go.

No codes so far. Hopefully the P0177 code stays away….

The replacement part you'll get, if you had to buy a new one, ditches the corrugated section for solid tubing. Looks way better and much more sturdy.
