Crank Bearing #3 - No Lectures Please
I like RoverMasterTech's idea of replacing crank and rod bearings while the oil pan is down to (1) improve oil pressure and (2) increase longevity in a serviceable engine. This post is not asking members to opine on the merits of installing new bearings in an engine with 133K miles.
So, here is my #3 crank bearing. There is visible wear, but is there enough to warrant replacement of all the bearings? If you look at RoverMasterTech's "Main/Crank Bearing Replacement DII" sticky the babbitt on those bearings is wiped. Mine look much better.
Should I replace them?

If U can feel indentation with your fingernail , then yes. How does crank look & feel? same test. (p.s. I would it's already out, and deep lines shown in picture)

Thanks for the replies. Crank seems in better shape than the bearings. Yes, my fingernail catches in the groove so I will replace them along with rod bearings while everything is apart. Maybe I can get another 125K out of this lump, especially with Rotella T6 and proper change intervals.
