Default Cranks fine but won't fire after head gasket

I just completed a head gasket job on my 01 disco. I have triple checked all connections etc. and it will not start. No smell or smoke coming from engine bay or exhaust. It seems like maybe it is not getting fuel? Do I just need to keep cranking? Or purge the fuel system somehow? I haven't seen any red flags when turning it over...but it will not even hiccup.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It is also important to note that the inertia switch was tripped, so I reset it and hooked up the battery. I don't think I can hear the fuel pump kick on when turning the key on. Are there further reset procedures for the inertia switch?

if you tripped the inertia switch you might want to check the fuse as well

I checked the fuses this morning and none of them were blown. Anything else I can check? I still think it has something to do with the inertia switch and fuel pump. I can't hear it kick on when turning the key and the engine just turns and turns without even a single fire. When I hooked it back up the flashers were on, I then unhooked the battery and reset the inertia switch and that took care of the flashers...what else can I do???

I would check for spark and fuel. Once you determine what you have or don't have, then you can start troubleshooting.

I have no spark, no fuel, no OBD codes. I replaced the crank sensor today with no luck there. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem the other day and found that the ground was not hooked up to the engine block.

make sure the spark coils are plugged in.
Make sure the spark coils are plugged into the correct wires and the wires are on correctly.

When I did the head, I labeled the wires as far as number and never removed the wires from the coils.
