I just bought an 03 Discovery that doesn't run. 129000 kms or about 80,000 miles. Body and interior are in excellent condition so I took a chance on it, hoping it was something simple like a fuse, or ?? I don't know any history on it
Bought an OBD tester and it showed PO441 purge flow, and PO455 . So I read a few threads and sounds like I may be wise to change the purge valve.
Then I was wondering if perhaps there may be a completely different reason that it doesnt start or even try to? Cranks over fine.
So if anyone has any ideas of what would be best to do, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

check and see if you get an RPM reading with an OBII scanner, if the answer is no you need a ckp sensor also check to see if you have fuel at the fuel rail, there is a test post near the firewall

 

Have to sound like a dummy, never used an OBD tester before, so will post the photo and ask, what is the next step? The place where it displays Codes, states, "No Codes Found" . Now thats puzzling to me?

Open to what to try next. From reading the threads, I seen that it could be a faulty Fuse Box, which is my next guess, but yes, only guessing. I don't understand why an exact code wouldn't pinpoint the correct issue to address?

Anyother question, Not sure if Disco 2 or 2, or? Which is which?
