Default D1 Normal Idle RPM's?

Hey guys. My D1 idles at 500-600rpm. Is this normal? When I come to a stop sign or just pulling into the driveway the oil pressure light quickly flickers 2-3 times. When driving it does not come on. Could this be the IAC going bad? Also, when starting it cold, it immediately goes to 1900-2000rpm and gradually decreases as the temperature increases. Is this normal? Thanks guys.

I would be worrying more about your oil pressure light flickering. Might want to consider flushing out the engine then having the oil pressure tested. As fo the idle RPM, an auto should be at about 700 RPM's, a 5 speed slightly lower.

The tach on the dash is not accurate, it is off by 50 to 200 rpm so the only way to get a truly accurate engine speed is at a shop.
I would have the oil pressure tested first.
As for the higher rpm when cold, yes it is normal. And when your IAC goes bad the trk will not idle, it will run above 550 rpm but not below 550 rpm.

I have flushed the engine, dropped the pan and cleaned. As well as new oil pump gears, oil pressure switch, and new connecting rod bearings. Still flickers at idle. Only at idle. Why? What am I missing? Thanks forthe helpguys.

Get your oil pressure tested, as already mentioned. Needs to be done 4 times, cold at idle cold at 2000 RPM's. running temp at idle and at 2000 RPM's.
It has to be the pump or your grank bearings, either way you need to find it quickly.

X2 on getting the pressure checked. Just replacing the pump gears won't get it, though. The pump mates to the front cover, and if it isn't pumping, you have to replace the front cover too....
