I have a 96 D1 and would like to fit heated seats, I know I will have to wire this up from power to switchs, but will the D2 seat fit the D1? This would be easyier than removing the seat covers and fitting heat elements to the seat.

No I haven't acquired the seats yet, henst the Q if D2 would fit a D1.
I was not sure if D1's came with the heat option

 

well, happy to say they do

got a D1 myself and its got the heated seats option...

try a parts dealer or junk yard for seat maybe?
