Default D1 spring seats

So a guy at lucky 8 said I could get about an inch lift by flipping over a set of D1 spring seats. At 5 bucks apiece I thought I would try it out. Anybody try this?

I don't know about flipping it over, but I put D1 seats in the rear for approx 0.4" lift. Good idea to use retainers if you do this, as the D1 seats are shallower

I have D1 rear spring seats because I have HD springs in the front but no extra weight to compress them. Gained about 1/2" in the rear which helped level my truck.
I don't think there is a retaining lip if you flip them over, so the spring wouldn't stay in place.

Yeah flip is an odd word for installing the D1 spring seats.
I’ve got a galvanized set that I’m waiting to install to level out my rear.

Thanks Jeff for the info about the retainers. I’m going to get these retainers from Gwen Lewis 4x4...
