Thanks, but I was more thinking about the quality, will they last. I didn't want to spend that much on Kent cams and their better chain etc at this point.
Maybe someday those and larger valves etc. just maybe...

I put the lifters to soak in enginecleaner yesterday and took them apart a moment ago.

In the picture, lifters are fom right to left, cylinder 1 lifter one, lifter two, cylinder 2 lifter one.. You get the point..
Can't remember (don't know) what were intake or exhaust valve lifters, just took them out in order and bagged seperately, but the cylinder numbering is correct.

What can You pros tell me about those few lifters that do not have those circular marks on the heads?

There was some "magic dust" residue in the cups I had the lifters soaking and washed them at.
Not really too much, but some. But hey, several cams were, well, smoooooothed out so...

I recently cleaned my lifters, but they looked much better than yours. They had a very smooth surface and no other visible damage. Many of yours have a scratched or pitted surface. I believe the ring marks are from circular motion of the lifters. Since you are getting a new cam shaft, I would get new lifters too.

Your lifters without the circular motion were not rotating, those lobes are worn out. You need a new cam and new lifters.

Have got everything put back together.

First start today.
Some banging and popping in the exhaust, maybe some old residue in there from before.. maybe..
Very silent in the enginebay.
No misfires, some roughness.
Only had it on idle for less than 10 minutes.

Is there a guide how to adjust the throttle cable as I put in a new one.

I'm not 100% sure I have the injectors plugged in correctly, whats the sympton if they are crossed?
The wrap on the injector loom was pretty much gone and I taped them up and am not sure anymore they are plugged in to correct injectors.

And some questions in form of pictures.

Betty is a SAI vehicle, with the SAI removed by some previous owner.

Is this something to do with the SAI?
It was like this, only connected via wires, when I got it, so it's not my doing.

This is SAI related also? Can be taken out?

Is there supposed to be something here?

Where does this go? It's near the intake..

Correct. There are two ports on/near the throttle body. I mixed them up.

Now that I'm on a computer again, and not only on phone it's time to look into RAVE. Not a fun thing doing on the phone...

Found the guide to adjust the throttle and cruise cables.
So the throttle cable is adjusted so there is no slack on the cable and the cruise cable to have a 0.5 to 1.5mm gap between the lever.

Also found the EVAP setup. This is a NAS D2 as far as I know, and there is that round air filter canister in the enginebay near the fusebox.

Can't say that I remember I would have seen this in the engine bay at all, if this is what goes to that empty nipple behind the throttlebody
https://www.britishpartsofutah.com/D.../wtv000060.htm

I'll have to check if that line exists from the leak detection pump to the enginebay, or can I find the purge valve somewhere.
The lonely connector clearly is for that.
Nanocom gave me an errorcode P0445 Canister purge valve fault, signal missing before I started her up, and cleared it, but can't remember did I check if it came back...

I removed the SAI pump, I think the wires weren't even connected to it.
Vacuum reservoir and the sai tubes to the heads have been removed by some previous owner.
The nozzles to the heads have been welded shut.

Sorry for yabbering and dropping in questions, my memory is a bit haywire and all this is new to me, so these posts are partially for my memory also.

Oh yeah, also did the PCV valve mod, and that inline thermostat.

I really appreciate all the help You guys can offer me
I'm more familiar with the TD5 by now..
