D2 ABS modulator/brake bleed question
Hi All,
Sorry if there's a cross-post I'm a newbie here.
I just replaced the ABS shuttle valve switch in the ABS modulator of my 2001 D2. Question is: What is the next step to get my brake system back online? I lost about 2/3 quart of Dot 4 in the process and my modulator is probably close to empty at this point. I read the WARNING in red in the Disco II Workshop Manual and it says Testbook/T4 must be followed if the modulator has been removed; well that is not an option. I was just going to bleed the brake system on the four wheels. Recommendations?
Thanks!

The alternate method to the Textbook is to activate the ABS between rounds of bleeding.
Here is the procedure:
Bleed brakes in order that RAVE specifies... Keeping the level up in the reservoir.
In a large parking lot or quiet road put the truck in LOW RANGE. Accelerate to 20mph or so and engage the Downhill Decent Control and let it run until the truck slows down most of the way.
Park and rebleed the brakes in sequence.
Repeat as necessary.
This will make sure the fluid flows through the entire system.

FIXED!!!
THANK YOU ALL for your input!
After replacing the ABS shuttle valve switch & checking for leaks I bled each caliper by lifting each wheel one by one pumping the brakes, then bleeding and feeding the Dot 4 as needed and ran the engine and pumped the brakes between each bleed.
I drove it around the neighborhood and the brakes were normal without further drain on the reservoir.
Thanks again!
