Default D2 Airbag 2004

Evening,

Just home after Xmas & noticed passenger side rear has dropped, seems to do this around the winter time.

The top of the arch is covering the top of the tyre. Now is this possibly a slow leak & is there any links / videos to show how to confirm or repair this ?

Could it be something else ?

Start the truck up and see if the suspension pumps back up to regular height. Leave it overnight and see if it deflates again. It could be the bags. You could spray some soapy water on them to see if you see any bubbles forming.

It could also be the rear height sensors. You may need a code reader to see if you have a fault for that though.

If it's indeed a bag, replace both sides. It's a pretty easy job to do if you have a jack and some jack stands.

If it’s one side, I’d be pretty certain it is a bag. You can get cheap ones on Amazonia for around $100 a pair. I’ve done a couple of these and it’s pretty simple.

If you are not sure, do the soapy water deal as stated and that will tell you.

And depending on how cold it is, that could be a factor. Even after a new bag on one side, the winter before we moved when it got way below zero, the whole rear end dumped for a few days. Once it warmed a bit, it never dropped again. Meh.
