D2 Cruise control not working
I have a 03, cruise control has never worked since I've owned it.
Also, have replaced the radio with a double DIN one.
And have LED brake bulbs.
No error code(s), two different Land Rover specialists have not been able to figure out what the problem is.
I also have hacked up brake light wiring and some bird's nest of wires that I'm guessing were for a trailer harness that I've discovered here and there.
I'm at the point where I might swap the LED bulbs out and see if cruise control works, but then even on all-day drives I never find myself looking to set the cruise control, but the OCD part of me wants it to work.

I’m glad you said it, the sole reason I’m digging so far into this is because my OCD wants it to work. I’m just gonna start with the ECU and slowly replace each part of all the components of the CC and see where that gets me.
So the gap that the RAVE shows is what I see in my vehicle currently but what Im seeing is what seems to be a lot of slack in the line if I pull directly on the line. Im refereing to the cable for the cruise control not the throttle.
Also Side note, I have the RAVE workshop book for:
1. Land Rover Discovery Series 2 Workshop Manual 1999-2003 MY
2. Discovery Series II WORKSHOP MANUAL - 1999MY ON
Do you know what the difference between to 2 are and what "MY" stands for on each?
I have a 2003 Land Rover Discovery 2 4.6 V8

MY means Model Year.
model year that makes sense! Any idea the difference between the two manuals though?
Also, there are a lot of threads on here noting how LED tail/brake lights will often cause some systems to not work. I don't remember details but I'm sure they should be easy to find.
My CC surges for a couple miles when I first turn it on and then it stops. I guess I should check the cable?
