Default D2 fault P0722

Hi good people!!
My D2 TD5 will not go forward! It will reverse though. Nanocom gives me a fault "Stall speed monitoring" have put a second of e-bay XYZ Switch, didn't help. Reading on forums I get a hint that it might be TC..but how come it can reverse and not go forward. Please help if anyone has come across this before. Thank you!!!

actually, this sounds like it may be your tourqe converter.

chipa's problem with only going in reverse sounds like a tourque converter since reverse is still usually operable whith a tourque converter failure.

parkerlander, you're issue soulds like your Tcase is positioned/stuck in neutral.

I actually I just change the T and it seems like it's working now. Even though I find the gear change from 2 to 3 takes a bit longer. But it's working all fine. So I reckon it must have been the TC

I meant to say I changed the TC(torque converter) and it's working now

out of curiousity, did you change out the tourque converter yourself or did you have a shop do it?
if you changed it yourself, do you have any tips/advise for the rest of us that may be useful?

Well we did it from my house out of a car park. That's how things work in Africa. I probably know more about D2 than the garages out here. But not on my own, I have two trusted guys, mechanics, that I work with. I just tell them exactly what needs to done, thanks to Forums like this one.

I will sit down with my mechanic and write up a step by step process as to how they replaced the TC, then I will post it here. It takes them 6 hours to bring down the gearbox replace the TC and put the gearbox back up again.
