Abran, I don't know enough about this to even be dangerous, but would 3D printing be viable for this product instead of incurring the upfront cost for a mold?
I'm sure you remember that's what Lowest Bidder did with the window rollers a while back. A company called Shapeways produces them to order and pays Lowest Bidder for each order filled.

I would be in for one.
I am sure you have already thought of this but worldpac is where I purchase many of the shop items from. They are an excellent option to reach your general repair shops that may not be familiar with the rover specialty sources. I have sold product to them in the past and they may be interested in stocking this item.

We have thought about that, but there is no OEM part number associated with this part. I think it would be difficult to merge into their system. But, we will reach out to them and see what they say.
