Verify battery condition, if good, verify cable terminals condition and connection, if good, verify ground cable to alternator bracket - being sure it is clean and tight - which must be verified by removing bolt, if good, slide underneath the vehicle and jump large post of starter solenoid to small terminal on solenoid, if it turns/cranks over...you have an issue with the igintion switch or wiring or XYZ switch or starter relay, if it does not turn/crank over...it is the starter.
Ahh I’m so happy I don’t have to replace that starter.
I was checking the wiring and noticed the harness down to the starter way laying on the exhaust manifold. Sure enough it had melted the brown/red wire to the starter solenoid. My dad had said he checked the fuses but when I went back and double checked FL13 was blown. Taped up the wire, zip tied out of the way, swapped the fuse and it fired right up. Melted wire. Blown fuse.
Going to run grab a fuse and some split loom to finish this repair!
