Sorry but what do you mean by bypass?

That may be one of the funniest first posts I've ever seen.

Bypassing a hub..... interesting...

I'm going to translate the very questionable question and guess you're asking if you can just replace the bearings in the hubs?

Either way the answer would be not practicle, when you can buy a new hub & ABS senaor for approx. $80 on ebay.

Hi, yeah didn't get it quite right, you right I meant to replace bearings only! Thanks for your translation, the reason to try to change bearing only is the prohibitive cost to purchase complete assembly here in South Africa. Granted I can source from abroad but then the shipping and insurance and tax on top of it make the cost price 4x higher than you guys buying it for, Thanks in advance, Jr

4 times?! CRAP! Hopefully you don't have to replace them often. But I am sure you already know it is a sealed unit so the general answer is, no, you can't do that.

I have read somewhere about people replacing bearings in D2 hubs in a shop. I'll see if I can find it.

Can't find it. This is a great write up on the replacement procedure: . Someone on these forums directed me to replacement hubs that are only 80 dollars (new, with sensor, I think) and Paul Grant (also on the forums) reportedly has used ones. Abran probably has used ones, too. I don't know about shipping to SA, though.
