Exclamation D2a Central Locking - Passenger Doors

Hi all
Have just purchased a D2a TD5 in Oz (current owner of a 110 Perentie)

I have an issue with central locking and it appears to be a common issue with the D2 by doing a GOOGLE search but not clear on answers.

Problem - I can lock and unlock the drivers door with FOB. Double press I can unlock the rear barn door BUT cannot unlock ANY of the passenger doors.
Yet if I manually unlock (need to reach over and open door lever and pull twice) I can with fob re lock

I can hear the actuators in the 3 doors click/whir on the double press so it seems they have power

Is it normal for ALL 3 passengers doors to fail is is there a common fault that I am missing. If one wasn't working would understand but all 3 ??

Also if I use the dash lock/unlock switch it does same - will try and unlock 3 passenger doors to no success (rear barn ok) but it will lock them if they were manually unlocked

Help

Thanks

You have 3 failed door lock actuators.

ok
seems strange as previous owner had no kids and rear doors hardly used - so wonder if sticking or failed
I assume the clicking noise is them trying to work ?

as an interim - is there a way to turn super lock off so I can at least manually "pull ip" lock button on door instead of using the door "handle"

You should definitely turn off superlock. It causes far more problems than it solves. To turn it off you need to use a diagnostic tool that can access the BCU and change the setting.

Even though PO didn't have kids, there are 2 preferences for unlocking in the BECM.

one is that all doors unlock when button pushed, the others is that only driver door unlocks first push and the rest second.

also, I have a habit of pushing the button twice to make sure, so who knows.

superlock can only be turned off with LR specific tool like Hawkeye, Autologic, or the like.

thanks abran
when I meant PO had no kids meant that the doors were hardly ever used - so would have thought would have lasted longer than front

You are welcome.

Even if not used, if they unlock each time the button is pressed, the actuator motors are working. That is why I was talking about the 2 unlock preferences.
