Mine has been cut for a homebrew bumper and looks fine

 

Twix ,Saturnine you explain to wife how I need a new steel bumper and convince her it is a good idea - and I am good to go.

Well.. You could just run into something such as a pole and be like "oops"

 

Well started today no rain

• removed the broken bits of plastic save the big one stripped screw, at mud flap
• Cleaned up where a spot weld popped at the rear - that will need a couple of welds to fix
• Heated things up to warm to the touch and gently pushed out with my hand, that got a good portion popped out
• A second push popped the lower dent out but it popped back in that needs a little more work
• Secured the remaining plastic trim with a piece of double sided tape

I just need a day of no rain and most the of dent will be cleaned up, I have decided to paint the lower portion black, on both sides as I have no idea what my Disco paint colour actually is.

So far this is going better than I expected, and is an interesting experience I have not done a lot of body work

 

Usually, when l'm blocking up the outside surface, so it won't move, l park whichever side l'm working on closest to the garage foundation...and build up my wedge against that. Glad to hear things are coming along.

Another thing, sometimes you have to push/bend the panel farther than its original position to get it to where it was. It kind of wants to flex back to its bent position sometimes, if not taken farther in the opposite direction.

I mean you could go with the 20, but do you really want to be slinging a 20# pound sledge in that confined of a space?
