Hmmm, must be something that has developed since I worked at the dealer, RAVE still list it as....(pg 836)

Sensor – ABS – rear 70.65.31
ABS sensor is supplied fitted to wheel hub and must not be removed.



I also just called a friend who still works in the parts department of the local dealer and they do indeed have a part number for the wheel sensors separately.

I stand corrected, sorry for the misinformation.

When I ripped mine off doing pads I got a sensor by itself for like $120 something from rovers north, plh293. Rovers North - The Source for Classic Land Rover Parts - ABS SENSOR REAR BRAKES DISCOVERY II

I just bought a used one from Miami British on Ebay for $40, so I saved $100 but then I guess I'm still going to have to pay to get the codes/faults cleared.

After you replace the sensor, drive it a bit before you spend the money to have the codes cleared, it won't cost anything to try and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Ok, just got finished putting in the replacement ABS sensor. The hill descent, Brake and (TC) traction control warning lights went out, however the ABS light is still on. Maybe I'll get lucky and it will go out after I drive it around a bit, but if not I guess I'll have to get it cleared next time I take it in for service.

I ran out to get some lunch and the ABS light went out! SWEET! No more warning lights!

Where do you plug in the ABS Amigo codes / reset unit?
Into the same OBDII plug???
