Just for clarification -- this is not a dealer vehicle. It is being sold by a private party.

I did look into the dash repair kit, and I agree with TampaBayDisco -- it is totally cheesy....

 

way to much money especially for a private party sale

 

im not one for covering things up but i really dont think this thing is cheesy. what i think it is is expensive.

while the heat gun thing sounds like it would work i can't imagine getting it right so you don't see warpage.

vehicle for sure is overpriced and heading into headgasket/new bushings area anyway....maybe.

 

diesel&mud over at discoweb just showed me his "casey's dash tray" and behind it you can see a nice job of repairing the dash curl. i'm definitely going this way.
