Good Deal!

The brain to your backup system is located in the rear cargo area. If you have the rear cargo door open you'll see two vents on either side of the cargo area located nearest the cargo door. On the right you can access the fuel door solenoid. On the Left you can access the Rear AC Blower or if it's got park distance control you'll see the brain mounted back there. I've heard of several people using cheaper Ebay sensors and just wiring them into place vs going with OEM sensors.

Don’t the cluster and ECM need to be swapped together otherwise the odometer will flash continuously?

You can cheat if you have issues with a gauge. I even was able to put an 03-04 looking gauge cluster into an 01 without having to do anything. If you have issues with a gauge just remove the small silver screws that attach the gauges to the PCB. Then swap over the new gauge or the 03-04 looking gauges onto your PCB with the correct mileage BOOM new gauge or new look without needing anything else.

""""On a side note I have been able to successfully swap 99-02 gauges onto 03-04 PCB clusters with zero issues. However when doing some 03-04 gauges onto 99-02 PCB clusters I have had a 50/50 success rate. You'll know it's wrong when both outer gauges (Temp & Fuel) read backwards. I've swapped some that worked flawless and I've attempted to swap some that didn't. I think it's a firmware issue with the later PCB vs earlier ones.""""

If you swap out the entire unit it will have to be re-synced. Unplugging the gauge cluster, and even just pushing the D2 with the key on = will no longer be synced.
