Default dash full of LIGHTS on 2000 Disco

My ABS, Traction Control and Hill decent lights all came on at the same time when i was slowing down to turn in a parking lot. They have come on before when maybe the front tire would slide on wet pavement going down a steep drive or something like that, but always went of in a little while. This time NO luck. I even unhooked the battery to try and reset. Any Ideas???

Welcome to the "3 amigos",

If you search you will find HUNDREDS of posts all over the world ref them.

Basically you need to have your codes read to see what the issue is, before you can start to think about fixing it.

few things to check tho, are your brake pads / discs new ? worn ?

"DITTO" do a search, on this or any other rover forum, and after you get all educated and have a specific question, then get back to us.

I have a spacific question. Why all 3 at the same time? I could understand abs or hill decent or traction control but all 3 at the same time seems unusual to me. Had new pads put on about 3 months ago. If not interested in helping please do not respond.

The reason they all came on at the same time is that they are all tied into the same system. The ABS is self explanatory, but the Traction Control and the Hill Descent control use the ABS in sort of a backwards way to do their jobs. You lose one, you lose all three, plain and simple.

You are going to have to go to the shop to have these codes read. No Auto Zone scanner is going to read them.

Hope this helps, and good luck. This issue is one of a few I am fighting myself.
