Just for reference, i have this problem and am going to try hunting it down later on. The Fuse F8 thing is interesting though. it covers the circuit for all Right hand sidelights, front and back, but also the glovebox light. This light is a crap design with exposed contacts that can easily short on the mounting bracket. If this shorts, you lose your RHS sidelights!!

I am going to try the light switch and earths to see if i can fix my no-dashboard-lights issue. Will be back if i cant fix it!!

 

My illumination and passenger tail-light is out, too (in a 1997 Discovery). Today we tried to change the bulb but saw no improvement. I will try looking at fuses tomorrow - hopefully it's a relatively simple fix since I don't have tools, understanding of how the car works, or even an owner's manual.

do you have a volt meter? Are you familiar with circuit diagrams?

 

Can you teach me how to fix this situation? I have the exact same problem as you (NO dash Illumination, No right front side marker lamp, No glove box light ).

What is the exact location and the repair procedure. (about bad ground under the footwell trim)
