AB has it for half that price! It's a Britpart kit vs LR, but it's identical. I installed one several months back on my 04 that was just starting to have the dash peel up towards the windshield. FIRST TIP.... The screws that come with the kit are completely useless and you'll never get thru the hard plastic on the dash. I went and got some nice black drywall screws the same length as what came in the kit & I was able to get them started with a little angle ratchet/screwdriver kit. Second tip is to make sure you center it before you go starting any screws and I'd suggest working from the middle to the outside. All in all it took me about 30min and it actually add's to the dash making it look complete.

I don’t understand how these work? Do you have a picture of them installed?

I don't see it on AB. Can you provide the link?

You have to search for D1 Dash Kit on AB as they don't list it for a D2 (however D1/D2 dashes are identical minus a few options/colors). You center the brackets, then start with the bracket that has the lower tab vs the one with the upper tab in the center. After you're happy with it centered side to side start in the middle, and work outward. Push the screw thru the soft part of the dash until you hit the hard plastic below, push down hard to get it to start, then go screw by screw until one side is down, now start with the other side, from the middle out until all the screws are in and you're done.

I used one, looks great. Tough part is getting the screws in behind the instrument cluster and the windshield. Just take your time and make sure the front edge is over the lip where the dash should join.
