I'm having similar issues but HDC and TC still work. Sometimes when my cdl is unlocked it will show locked and at times will continue after turning the car off and back on. (2000 with an Ashcroft cdl installed) was replacing the switches hard?

 

Changing the actual switches isn't necessarily hard, but access to them is the main obstacle. If you remove the console and drill out the rivets to remove the shift surround you get much batter access to all the switches from above. Doing them from below is especially challenging because they're hard to access, and the connectors are hard to release.
