Default Dead pedal delete?

Hello fellow Discites,

I'm a pretty big guy, 6'6" in the morning, and my left foot needs more room. I'm eyeing that dead pedal on the lower driver kick panel. Is there something behind like an electronic module it that requires protection, or can I just remove it?

On my Disco, it's molded right into the kick panel. But a little sheet of aluminum or SS and a few rivets could cover the hole left after I cut it off.

Anybody BTDT?

I don’t know about the dead pedal but there is a way to move the seat on its mounts so that it will go back further. But you lose rear leg room obviously.

I did a simple seat mod, same as I did on my RR, by raising the front seat mounts about an inch. This inclines the seat cushion just enough to give me more thigh support. The RR was a bit easier as it only uses spacers under all four mounts, but the Disco was not too hard either. Those pesky reverse-allen bolts are a pita.
