Dented Back Door (Advice Request)
I have a problem with a large dent in my trunk door.
Someone must have backed my Land Rover Discovery 2 into something with quite a lot of force.
Any advice on how to get this out? I've already tried pulling hard on the spare tire mount.
Is there a way to dis-assemble the inside of that door so I can hammer it out?

That's great news, I'm going to try that soon.
It looks like the previous owner tried once and busted a number of rivets on the left hand side of that side panel.
Any advice for me before I proceed other than your original ones ?

You can Get a panel removal tool. I have a couple of sets from harbor freight . The were like $4-$5 a set. Local parts store has them, too. You can always get replacement fasteners if needed. But after speaker and handle screws are out I don't think you'll need much else. I remember it being pretty easy to remove after that

This is my first automotive body repair failure. lol. Even my roof racks are home made.
I took apart the panel, thank you for the advice. I bought a panel popper tool, worked beautifully.
The problem is that on the inside of the door there are very few access holes to the exterior panel.
I started by hammering what I could with a rubber mallet. It didn't budge.
Then I grabbed a socket set and hammered that. What it did was bend the sheet metal into little nipples. The metal bent so much that it cracked the paint.
I really messed up this time. What do back doors go for if I'm looking at buying a used one to replace it ?
