Default DI Center Console Disassembly

I never found anything on this forum for the D1 console removal so here's some pics of it. You can break the cover if your not careful.
It is fairly self explanatory after looking at the pics but here's a summary:

1. Remove the "quadrant finisher" (outer black plate) by gently pulling upward. Note the clip locations in the pic.

2. Pry up CDL shift cover in the same fashion then unscrew the ****. Don't lose the rubber o-ring.

3. Remove the two screws under the CDL Cover.

4. Pull up the flat center console piece by moving it forward but do not try to remove. The switch plates is bolted to the back of this. Note the 4 nut locations. Disconnect all window and heater switches. Now remove center console plate.

This is as far as I needed for my project. Perhaps someone who needs to remove more will post pics and continue.

Your setup is different than mine.
I have no wood parts to mess with.

Ya the switch panel is bolted to the wood trim on this type of trim level I guess (LSE).

I have the wood trim but I've never seen it in one piece like that. I have a separate piece for the lower part and the window switches. Does anyone know if this is also related to LSE models?

Fail me...I just realized that I DON'T have the wood down on the bottom, just on the window switches and shift ****. However, is single piece still related to being LSE?

My SE has the wood around the switches but not around the shift ****.

Might want to PM a mod and ask them to move the thread to the D1 section.
