Default DI Expansion Tank

I still have the old black expansion tank and am thinking I should get it replaced before she blows. I noticed that AL offers two for the DI (genuine and whatever else).

http://www.roverparts.com/Nxt/search...expansion+tank (scroll down mid-page)

Has anyone purchased the cheaper one and had any issues? I'd like to save myself $40 if I can, but would rather have a quality product if I need to.

Thanks fellas

So it after market or OEM?
Go with the aftermarket.

Don't think cheap when working on your truck. Those old expansion tanks had a terrible problem of blowing and do many engine in.
I don't know who is making the after market but the factories new up-graded white bottle is good insurance.
From what I have been hearing lately, expansion tanks are back ordered every where so get your name in for one or whatever you have to do.

I replaced mine about a year ago.
It was with the cheap one, I called B.A. and was going to get the OEM one and was told that the after market one was as good.
Picked up a new cap for it also.

Just replaced both of mine with the aftermarket version. You can tell that the fit isn't quite as good and the cap is more difficult to screw on, but as long as the seams don't bust open (like my last two OE ones). Then I am happy.

Default Aftermarket or White LR version?

Is the consensus still aftermarket or white Land Rover version? My black one has a small leak at the seam and I prefer to do this one time only if I'm able.

The black one will dump on you as soon as it can. You are on borrowed time.

Definitely want to replace it! I'm placing a parts order and was just curious to know if everyone preferred the $100 LR version (white of course) or if the $40 aftermarket Proline is worth while.
