Default Dies For No Reason

I have a 2000 Land Rover Discovery 2 V8 with 290,000 kilometers (about 180,000 US miles).

Everything is perfect - No codes or leaks. The car just randomly dies. The Engine, the Electrical system, everything goes black. Then it restarts with no problem. It has usually down this when slowing to a stop. Crank Position Sensor was replaced with new Bosch 20,000 miles ago.

Could it be the idle control module? I am not sure what could make it suddenly turn off like a switch. Again no problems restarting. There is a bit of a pulsing to the exhaust that comes and goes.

Forgot to say the pulsing exhaust is at idle..but you have to listen hard for it .. other than this can't see any symptoms other than just shutting off like a light switch.

Any ideas on what would cause a Rover to suddenly die for no reason ?

Bad ground? I had a similar issue a while back. It was the negative cable from battery to frame

Does it happen hot or cold or both? No codes I assume. Do you have the torque app and an elm327? what do the oxygen sensor graphs look like? What are the MAF sensor readings? How often does it happen - once a day? Once an hour? Once every 3 stops?

My initial guess is MAF related, but could be IAC.

Everything in the car goes dead. No lights. Just dies.
