Default Different Lug Nut Issue

I just purchased my first Land Rover, a 2004 Discovery with 140k. This forum has already been a huge help in fixing a few issues and identifying the preventative maintenance I need to do.

My issue is that the previous owner decided to "upgrade" the factory rims. Today, I was going through the vehicle, making sure the jack, tire iron, etc. were there. I realized that the lug nuts had been replaced and picked up a 7/8 impact socket and breaker bar to use to change a flat. I quickly realized that while the spare, which I used to measure the nuts, had 7/8 nuts, the actual wheels had 3/4. No big deal, I just picked up one of those, as well. However, then it occurred to me that the spare was still the original Land Rover rim, being held on with washers and the aftermarket nuts. I would never be able to mount it with the lug nuts I have. Safe to assume the PO was an idiot.

So, I suppose the easiest solution is get a spare set of factory sized lug nuts, right? With all the issues everyone has with the factory nuts, should I get an aftermarket set of ugly ones that fit the factory size? Any suggestions for a source?

Thank you so much for all your help!

That's form vs function...no one can answer that but you since only you can place a value on them.

You won't find aftermarket ugly nuts that fit the stock alloy wheels.

You'll need OE or OE style aftermarket.

Rovahfarm has the best price for new.

Paul Grant probably has one of the best prices for used if I remember posts correctly.
