FWIW, on my project build here at L8, Ive been running stock axles and stock diffs for over a year to see how well they will hold up. Running 33's and so far I've only blown up a rear diff. Axles have held up great.

Thanks for all the help!! I am new at Land Rovers and am trying to make one good one out of three total. I am enjoying my new hobby as I see you do too!! Even with all the problems Discovery 2 has reported to have, I still think they are a great truck!!

de rien. Enjoy your D2 as they aren't as bad as made out by some. They are old, they are complex 'cos they are 4x4, but they are no less reliable than any other 4x4 truck of comparable age or mileage but often far more comfotable .............. and you can get stuck in many places most other 4x4's can never reach
