Default DII Cruise Control

My cruise control hasn't worked since I bought my truck in Dec 2009. Where do I start looking to fix this?

When I activate the switch an ORANGE light does come on.

Thank you,
Scott

There are tons of threads on here about this topic. Basically you start by checking the vacuum lines and the operation of the CC vacuum pump.

Do your horns work? If not, check the fuse for the horns. That fuse is in the circuit for the cruise control.

The orange light wouldn't come on if the fuse was blown.

Vacuum leak or the cruise control pump is dead.

Don't be ridiculous! This can simply be solved by an engine rebuild using top-hat liners.

I forgot that I posted this thread. Yes, both horn buttons work.
