Default DII Wiring harness replacement

I need to swap out my current engine harness and I'm curious if I need to lower the engine and transmission from their mounts to get to the wires that dive behind the driverside valve cover. I took a quick look and couldn't see how else to get to them.

Thanks!

I replaced that harness about 10 years ago at work, it was a PITA but I'm sure I didn't have to move the engine or trans.

same here, everything but the engine had to come out. are you replacing it bumper to bumper or just a section?

No, just the engine harness. Only the wires that seem to be hard to get to are the ones going to the transmission.
