Because you increased the air flow over the radiator.... so if radiator is a problem to start with that could be expected. The 180F stat should get you performance like this, a member shot this on a trip into the desert.

Thanks, that's is something I'm hoping i could get for the temp. But again where i am is much hotter and known for nightmare traffic.

Today the temp was 206-207F at max, highest so far since installing the additional fan, friday morning traffic too...

Roll on weekend...

Weekend checked the radiator, seem to be OK with temp even all over from top to bottom so next installed a fan (used fan PGG000080 with better clutch and had 11 blade more than the existing one which had only 9 blade) also installed front headlight/rear guard, unfortunately the lower rear light can not be installed as it had rear reversing sensor installed next to it so not enough room for this, I took her out for a sunday morning run, very happy...

Monday morning traffic, the temp was more stable at 195-197F at idel and 190-193F at normal speed with max temp at 200F at 10 mins stop at traffic light..180F Tsat is on the way in the post...any other way i could do to get the temp down or is this seem about right??

Couple of weeks on..yesterday the temp was 200F at Idle where as 195-197F before as well as TC/handbrakes/ABS lights where on but still drive normal. Got home and open the bonnet and found splash of coolant were on top of CRUISE CONTROL VACUUM PUMP ACTUATOR and wire below as well as some on the edge of the reservoir where the excess pipe is. Re start the engine again and the TC/handbrake abs light were gone.

Is there too much pressure in the coolant, need another look at the radiator?

Found out that the coolant reservoir is leaking at the seamed near excess pipes, so using epoxy to fixed this for the time being also water pump is really in need of replacing too so just bough one from ebay...hope to have it soon (along with the 180F Tsat)
