Well..after recieved my new PEL500110 yesterday I went to the garage to do the installation right away. The driving on highway, temp went down to 182-185F, BUT while sitting at traffic light it went up to 206F-209F and still going, such a swing which I did not get with the current 82C Tsat most of the time it sat at 200F. SO after driving around on saturday traffic to see if I could see a better number, not. I decided to took her back to the shop to have it taken out and refit with the 82C that I had in prior to the PEL500110 one. Did the coolant bleed properly and all too. What could it be please?? Or is this normal....

Keep new stat. Bleed air. Check viscous fan clutrh (spin and relaese when hot, should stop in under 1 turn). Check electric fan to be sure fuse not blown and it is coming on. Would expect some rise, but not in a few seconds at a light.

I've found out that my disco did not have engine oil cooler but only have transmission cooler. So I get the oil cooler installed on top on the transmission oil cooler as where it should have been. Expecting to see an improvement on the coolant temperature, not it still around 206f at idle which is same figure as before.....what next head gasket?
