Hi just got a Disco 2 from 1999, with low mileage on the clock. Hose to the oil cooler leaked, so it lost all gear oil. I fixed the hose, and refilled the transmission fluid in the right steps. the issue now is, that it will only drive in R, but all other gears doesn´t work at all. Do I need a new tranny or does anyone experience the same issue and got it solved?

 

so you lost all tranny fluid while driving ? Yup I would that would cause damage

 

Sounds like it lunched hte front clutch, rebuild or new transmission required.
