Default disco 2 doesnt wanna drive... traction control going crazy... brakes locking up?

I'm really not too sure whats going on. Truck has basically been sitting for a year. I drove out if the driveway and it seemed that all the brakes were locking up. The traction control was spitting and it seemed that if I tried to accelerate the worse it got. So I nursed it back in the driveway... any suggestion?

maybe the exciter rings for the abs sensors in the hubs are all corroded? I've never heard of that happening, so I'm just thinking.... umm... out loud?

Excessive rust on the brakes and brake components.
You can try driving it around the neighborhood and see if the rust falls off or gets rubbed off.
If not you need new rotors.
You could also have a stuck caliper or two.

I would bet on a or many stuck calipers, I had stored my old subaru impreza outside over the winter and when spring time came and I drove it for the first time it was all over the road (felt like it was way out of alignment).

Take a look at your rotors and give them a cleaning, if that does not fix you can get caliper rebuild kits pretty cheep on the net ($ 29 for front and $ 15 for rear). There are some good DIY vids on youtube on how to rebuild a caliper, not really rocket science
