It waslow but not empty but will give it another try today. I toped it up with antifreeze as its frosticals here.

how silly do i feel? the water was low so i topped it up and hey presto it seems to be working again. Thanks

keep an eye on the coolant level over the next couple of weeks. and an eye out for small leaks around the hose clamps and throttle body heater. the missing coolant has to getting out somehow.
