yes easily however the inside of center rack is kind of close to roof and if make it a little shallower but yes i can stand on it.. with this many welds ( fillet brazing) its rigid plus not many thing would concentrate body weight in size of foot but if it were slight bit more space between it and hood it would be fine .. those are only 1/2” i believe also

I had a roof rack made from 1" tubing 14gage and it super strong and hardly weighs anything.

the only thing about my design that id change is that the front tier section being lower than the rear basket area is when carrying sheets of plywood they all have pressure to bend down in front adding a minor difficulty getting them to stay nice n flat.. I fixed that just by having a 2x4 to clamp down if needed to level everything up but a rack like yours here that is a non issue... nice rack too! purpose built!

The benefits Ive seen for me is making it out of EMT and engineering it to have strength, i havent had any issue carrying anything i need.. outside of the inside of basket I am closer than Id prefer so 2.0 will have more clearance... its CHEAP to make you can literally afford to buy a new mig welder or oxy accet rig so the price of a factory built one ( which I think is just fine to just buy one of course if no place to build). but thing is, these things can get beat up so its nice to be able to repair yer rack too! I already have running it into a concrete carport lol it slid back a few inches and pushed a light bucker down onto hood making a tiny ding but its rock solid! the back got bent and so did the bicycle on top lol but quick repair and i was off and running
