Default Disco 2 TD5 Radiator

Good day gentleman,

I have a 10P TD5 Discovery 2. I recently had the radiator out to clean it up a bit. As per the schematic above I have an "b Pre EU3 Model" setup. According to the schematic water is supposed to flow from the oil cooler to the 2nd "input" at the bottom left of the radiator. However, whilst cleaning the radiator I discovered that on the radiator I have that "2nd" input is "blocked". I stuck a phillips screw driver in there (very lightly) thinking that something is blocking it. I also checked with a flash light and notice it is not blocked but "blanked off".

My question is this: Is it really blocked or is there a "valve" of some sort that will open when the water temp from the oil cooler reaches a certain temp?

On the TD5 there is a Thermostat and a thermostatic expansion valve. Are these what you are asking about?

The "red circled" part is what I am refering to.

This line is blocked because this is aftermarket radiator. It's for both: euro 3 and pre euro 3. Someone, who was replacing your radiator should drill the hole in this connection circled red. There should be flow in pre euro 3.
In the other hand, if you have euro 3, you do not connect any hose to this spigot - you leave it blocked and unconnected. Is it clear now?
