Default disco doing weird things

last week my disco died on the road by stalling and starting back up only to stall again. I had It towed to an independent land rover service and they can't seem to fix it. They replaced the crank sensor and now it runs with a slightttt shake in the idle but it runs. Here is the weird part, when you turn the heat/AC on and it stalls. I recently installed HID lights could the balast location be the culprit? Is that just a coincidence? Please help If you can I need heat in NY LOL. The disco is a 2004 with 56k miles. Thanks for any help

So, the check engine light is not on?
Then I would suggest you clean the t/body and idle control unit, this should fix it.
If you don't know how and don't want to pay the mechanocs then call me and I'll walk you thru it.

Mike you are the best, thanks. I'll take you up on that are you free saturday afternoon or will you be busy with the holidays? The check engine light came back but car seems to still run fine if I don't use the heater.

So, go to the auto parts store near you get the codes read for free, send me the code numbers and buy a can of carb spray.

Mike, I am going in about 20 minutes to autozone to get codes read and to buy the carb cleaner. Is this a job that a moron like myself can do? I was able to install HIDs so I'm not thattt bad. I will let you know the codes ASAP and again, thanks for the help. I shelled out $500 for the place to leave my car still broken.
