Disco Factory Stereo Stuck
The factory AM/FM on my 2000 Disco 2 is stuck on one specific station, and at low volume. The stereo buttons do absolutely nothing, and neither do the steering column controls. Is there some quasi-unknown super-secret way to reset the thing to defaults, or to jump-start it to normal operating? I don't have a manual for the truck to refer to.
Download the RAVE in my signature links and you will have all the manuals for the truck, including how to pull radio if you wish. Wiring diagrams will show connectors for remote buttons that may need to be disconnected.
Thanks a bunch! The manual revealed much hither-to unknowns about the truck itself. Unfortunately there wasn't a troubleshooting section to list some common ailments and remedies for on-board systems, such as the stereo. Any ideas on my stereo's refusal to change stations or volume?
[Im currently having same issue with my 04 Disco 2. Ever get it figured out?

My factory radio would frequently get ornery. Always if I pulled it out and reset the fuse in back of the radio it would right itself. You'll need the keys to insert into the sides to get the radio out. Your mechanic may let you borrow them if you ask.
However I have since replaced it with a flip out Apple Play unit that is wonderful!!!! Look for single din.
