Disco II 2000, is my Alternator bad?
Yesterday morning when I left my house my batter light came on, and then later last night a bunch of weird things started to happen.
First my TC, ABS, and Hill descent came on and then the S mode and M mode started to blink so I stopped and restarted the car. Once I proceeded down the road the S and M modes continued to blink and the 'Three amigos'-are they? well, they came back on.
Once I got to a safe place I parked it there. later that night I went to retrieve it and it hardly started, but nonetheless, it started. I turned the lights on and they flickered on and once I put my foot on the brake the three amigos came back on, and so I let off the brake, and they turned off. I put it in reverse with the three amigos coming on and then the lights started to flicker as if there wasn't enough electricity. So I gave up and just left it there.
Is it safe to assume the alternator is going back? what else could be the cause?
btw, I just had a TON of work done on the 90k service.
Thanks to anyone that can help!

Take you truck to a local auto parts store. (i.e.- Advanced Auto, Autozone, etc.)
It sounds like your battery is shot, but they can test both it and your alternator to tell you which one is the source of the problem.

Never guess, as mentioned go get it tested for free at a local parts store, you need somewhere between 13.6 amd 14.4 volts, any less then you have problems.
Most likely it will be a bad battery, if so, buy one with at least an 800 CCA rating or higher so you don't have additional issues.
