Wow, that's some pretty rough casting...I would have believed you if you told me my engine was completely #$%*ed. And yes, got that piece out of there right after taking the picture. GOOD EYE!

Taking a break on the Disco for 4th of July Festivities, but will be resuming soon!

Coscast blocks have clean ports on the valley pan, as stated yours are normal for a stock block.

ill shoot a photo later of a coscast block.

Not a great pic, but here's the gutty works of my block in Feb for comparison. Not exactly tight specs in there.

Wow, yeah I see what you mean. Looks really bad at first glance. I'm off on a vacation so I don't get to work any more on the rover until the end of the month. Thanks for the photo!
