Default Disco II Headlights go bad together?

I know LR can be finicky at times, but this is wierd. My passeger side head light went out last week, order bulbs(2) from AB. Got into my car yesterday and the other one was out. Fuses #9 and 10 are good. Is this a common thing or indicative of something more serious? How hard is it to change the bulbs? As far as I can find in the RAVE manual there is no specific procedure for bulb replacement, just removal of the headlamp unit.

It could very well be just a coincidence. With Land Rovers things usually go bad in pairs or in three's. Just out of curiosity why did you order the headlight bulbs from AB when you can get them at a local auto parts store like advance or autozone.

if they went at the exactly same time i would say there is a problem. but they didnt. replace them with some sylvania 9003SU, $27 at Advance Auto.

I order them from AB becasue I got to work before anything is open and get home way after they close. Only take 1 day to get to my house from them.

How tough is it to replace the lamps once you have the unit out?

A solid trick for Americas funniest home video if you get the dog to do it.

It would help to know the year and model since head lights are different on the newer D2's.
