Default Disco II Power Steering Question

So my power steering is groaning and my fluid reservoir looks like a Jacuzzi when is running.

I'm clearly sucking air badly. Is this the pump, the steering box seals or the hoses?

I want to repair myself and need to narrow the field.

THNX

The jacuzzi action is normal from all the research I've done. Mine bubbles quite bit, but does not groan.

Stupid question but is the level correct, and are there any leaks in the system? Its normal to look into the reservoir while its running and see the return fluid creating a disturbance, are u seeing bubbles?

Oh I know it's going to circulate but its foaming like crazy with air bubbles. As near as I can tell the hoses are fine. Fluid level is full as well.

Possible issues?

Does the steering require more force than normal to turn the wheel?

If it were my truck I would try a good used power steering pump, as hoses really can't cause this issue and neither should the box. Any good junkyards up there where life is what it should be ?

Oh I'm sure I can find one easily enough. I'll go pull one out of a carcass somewhere. Thanks for the help.

I've gotten pretty good at changing power steering pumps. I put in two used ones before buying a new pump.
