we hace a p reg disco tdi that starts up allright then after a few minites when revving it it starts to splutter and throw big clouds of blue smoke out the back,we have replaced the lift pump and all filters also had injectors cleaned,just checked valve clearances ,turbo seems to be ok,has anybody had the same problem it seems like its misfiring could it be the main pump[:@]

 

have sorted problem ,plastic split on top of fuel guage sender in tank ,were the fuel pipe come from metal inserts have correded cuasing plastic to split

 

glad you got it sorted out. there is a factory recall on the fuel tank. that may be part of the recall. it is with the "plastic welds on the tank. worth a call to the rover dealer. gotta love a rover. duboff
